The town Kals am Großglockner

The mountain village Kals (1.325 m) on the sunny side of the Hohe Tauern lies right on the foot of the Großglockner. Escaped from the mass tourism, you can still find here peace and relaxation surrounded by fascinating mountains and nature. In summer as well as in winter, Kals offers lots of possibilities to do for every age group.

The centre of Kals is about 2 km from Lesach. There you can find the town hall, the post office, the bank, a grocery-market, the library, a market with local products, the church, two museums, the music pavilion where in summer concerts take place, the cultural hall, the tourism office and the office of the alpine guides.

The skiing area is a 5 minutes drive from our house.
